What a gorgeous illustration!
What a gorgeous illustration! This would make a fantastic addition to my study, I'm trying to gain a collection of photographs and illustrations of birds to display on the wall.

One of my favorite artists!
Edward Lear and John Gould were an incredible team. I certainly hope a more affordable version of this wonderful book will be released at some point. Eagle Owl.... would love to see some day too!

Edward Lear
I've long been a fan of both John Gould and Edward Lear. They are from my favorite era of bird portraiture, in fact. I sure hope they come out with an edition that is a little less expensive...

j.gould bird prints
An artist capturing birds and ornithology in print form is absolutely amazing. A field guide to birds of North America changed my life and made me look up everywhere I go and I have been logging different birds for a few years and am very proud of my growing list! I can imagine what the images in this book would do to inspire my life. I love birds in art, thank you Audubon Society!
