Love of birds

Twenty years ago with borrowed binoculars, we took a trip to the Galapagos. Our leader on the ship was a birder and her enthusiasm and knowledge struck a key with us. We returned home, joined the local Audubon and Nature Center and 5,200 bird ID's later we are still just as thrilled with each new sighting! It brings joy to our lives.

Eagle owl print by Edward Lear

I had never heard of Eagle Owls before my mother talked about the pot-plant eagle owls she watched online. I have been a birder for a long time, and am a member of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I love their webcams of Red-tailed Hawks and Great Blue Herons. I would love to win the print for my mother.

Ever since I was a little

Ever since I was a little girl, birds have fascinated, amazed and entertained me. Fortunately, my husband has grown to enjoy them as well. We make a point of seeking out birds and other wildlife wherever we go. This book would be a treasure to own, enjoy and share with our grandchildren.

Birds Drawn for John Gould

Looks like a great book.

Submission

I would love to own the book, but the owl print by Edward Lear would be a treasure to have in my home and to pass on to my heirs. Owls are one of my passions and I listen for them in the night. Also watch them on the wildlife cams. My favorite of all the raptors, excepting the Bald Eagle.
